 What is Flower ?

[Ans]..The flower is a highly modified shoot meant essentially for the sexual reproduction of the plant.

ਇਹ ਫੁੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸੋਧੀ ਹੋਈ ਟਹਿਣੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪੌਦੇ ਦੇ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਜਨਨ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

 

(Types of Flower parts) :

*   Petals: These are the colorful parts of the flower that attract pollinators like bees and butterflies.

*   Sepals: These are the green, leaf-like structures that protect the flower bud before it blooms.

*   Stamen: This is the male reproductive part of the flower. It consists of two parts:

    *   Anther: This is where pollen grains are produced.

    *   Filament: This is the stalk that supports the anther.

*   Pistil: This is the female reproductive part of the flower. It consists of three parts:

    *   Stigma: This is the sticky surface that receives the pollen.

    *   Style: This is the tube that connects the stigma to the ovary.

    *   Ovary: This is where the ovules (which become seeds) are located.
